Our Mandate:

To provide local planning coordination and promotion of educational opportunities for adults in the community.​

In April 2017, Blue Heron Support Services Association (BHSSA) recognized the importance of having life long learning available for the entire community, and so, Barrhead Community Adult Learning (BCAL) was started as a subsidiary of Blue Heron.  BCAL joined together with 120 other communities in Alberta with the same mission.

BCAL is offering programs such as  Adult Literacy, English Language Learning, Basic Computer Skills, and many other programs and services based on the needs of the community.
